Comments: I hate down. I can't stress that enough. Oh, the guilt every time a little feather flits past! So when I was at the store, spying pillows, and had a down one in my hand and saw a feather pop out of a seam I flagged down the nearest clerk and said "Pillow Minus Down, Please!" He showed me this blue beaut. I'm a minimalist (bicycle and motorcycle camper) and I travel light. I was sick of sleeping on my stuff sack of clothes and waking up with a sore neck. Since getting this (and one for my boyfriend) I have never slept better. Soft, cushy, comfy, aaaaaahhhh.... Last weekend we were out in a canoe when it rained on our open tent. I mean downpour. We came back to a puddle in the middle of the sleeping bags. These babies dried in front of the fire in a matter of about 30 minutes (about 6 feet away, with occasional turning). I was so glad to have dry sleeping gear for the night. Easy to pack, lightweight, so nice to sleep on, Yes. Do it. You know you want to. |

Comments: As you can tell by my title for this... maybe it is time I invest in a new pillow for home. Honestly this little thing is a charm. I sleep on my side and it is perfect. It is soft and lofty but is firm and thick enough to cradle your head so your not hurting your neck. Granted I am 5 foot 1 and very petite frame so it is not like I have huge shoulders. And yes it IS a little bulky but honestly you can roll it up pretty small, and it is as light as a feather (so just strap it to the outside of your pack!). It beats having to carry around a large normal pillow for car camping as well as sleeping on a pile of clothes for minimalist style. It is the most comfortable camp pillow I have come across. I admit it, I sleep with it as my normal pillow now!!! |

Comments: I traveled around the world on a 3 month trip with this baby along, and it made me feel like I was at home. Most "compact" pillows are not thick enough to actually support your head and you get a bad nights sleep. This one is where its at. I used it for that trip, and another 3 years. Then I decided it was time to splurge for a new one. Best deal at REI. |

Comments: I was looking for a pillow that was compact, comfy & ECONOMICAL, & Therm-A-Rest just wasn't cuttin' it. REI's blue baby was the right mix of softness, size & price, & now I sleep like a baby in the most awkward situations. (Sorry, officer!) Rolls up nice and compact with elasitc bands, & unfurls quickly & easily before hitting the hay, or knocking out in the car, on the train or bus, or at the station, or at your bud's, or during the lecture, or ... |

Comments: A pillow is very important to me as far as a good nights sleep. I've decided after a second camping trip that this one didn't provide the comfort I needed. You have to fold it over to get the support. Another camper loaned me a second small pillow and together they worked great. |

Comments: I like this pillow. I guess it is a little bulky but, let's face it, it's a pillow! I picked one up for a Grand Canyon trip and found it to be very comfortable. Sure, I can use my stuff sack with clothes, and that is nice for the first day or two, but after a while they are no longer clean and fresh smelling. If you are a minimalist weight watcher then no, this isn't for you. If you can take a little extra weight for some comfort, this is the pillow you are looking for. |

Comments: Happy with it due to the small size, but for car camping, you might want something bigger. The straps are solid and it packs-up small. I followed the advice or reviewer #1 (John C) and bought the stuff sack. Actually that sack is too big, but it was on clearance, so no big loss. |

Comments: This thing isn't too shabby for the price. It's washable (at least it seems to be). Not too bulky (ok it's not ultra-light, but if it means you sleep better out in the great beyond then by all means make room for it. If you do any car camping then it will pay for itself. Once I wear out the two I currently have I plan on getting two more. |

Comments: My husband and I each took one of these pillows on a three-week trek in Nepal. They were so comfortable and packed nicely into a smallish stuffsack. Well worth the small amount of bulkiness. We just got washing instructions from [...], and the agent said they'll send a request to have this info added to the product tag and the website. In the meantime, here it is: "Machine- or hand-wash polyester-filled pillows in warm water with an all-purpose detergent. Dry the pillows in the dryer on a moderate heat setting". |

Comments: Great product at a great price. We use them when car camping and they workout great. The straps attached allow it to be folded to save room. I have also used REI SportsWrap to compress it smaller for trips that I need more space (probably would work well for backpacking too, but you can use clothes for a pillow backpacking!). |

Comments: This pillow is quite comfortable - I rated it "bulky" and "compact" which is a bit contradictory, but it depends on how much room you're trying to save and how much comfort you want. For the comfort, the room it takes up in the pack is worth it, in my opinion. I use it with an REI Down Pillow and have all the comforts of home! I wish I knew if I could machine wash it! If so, I'd give it 5 stars. |
